C.L.A.W.S. is a superhero comic book series about a Hispanic male named Bras Olivia, who at the age of 10 was the lone survivor of a shipwreck carrying exotic animals from South America to the Bronx Zoo, in New York.
Bras was able to swim to safety to a nearby mysterious island that was inhabited by various species of intelligent felines, who adopted him and bestowed upon him the mystic powers of the ancient large cat tribes.
Having returned to New York, Bras carried on the mantle of his Father and became the head veterinarian of the Bronx Zoo by day, and crime fighter by night as the masked vigilante C.L.A.W.S.
